things for things

Barter Town Trading Post V: Juneteenth was brought to us by the Heather Hart Experience. Artists/ Vendors set up shop with their creations and services to trade for things or ideas and thoughts of equal value. The importance of material objects mattered less than physical human experiences. The fulfilling acts of exchanging stories and excitement of the immediate moment created a space, bringing high quality art to real people in the street.

Nelson Loskamp
The Electric Chaircut was a thrilling haircut experience. After breifly describing how I wished my hair to be styled, I put full trust in a stranger and allowed him to transform a part of my body. Bound up, eyes and mouth taped shut the sitter becomes an equal performer.
