Portia Munson's plastic playlands are flourishing with the detritus that fuels us. The "Pink Project; Table" neatly displays an overwhelming assortment of objects, highlighting their decorative qualities over any possible useful properties. A clear paneled, wooden framed sarcophagus houses the hoard of the ill-informed environmentalist. Her "Green Piece; Lawn" cleverly paints us a landscape in which we can later bury our foolish friends. Munson's installations obviously understand accumulative pieces such as L. Nevelson's works, yet they stray delightfully away from any type of camouflaging from applied paint.
